We’ve added 4 locations to better serve you with and experienced staff over the years to help thousands of moms-to-be and future fathers.

Southwest Women’s Healthcare Center is accredited with AIUM to perform Obstetrical Ultrasounds and have numerous resources available to patients to help them through their pregnancy. We are also board certified by the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and have a waiver for office-based addiction medicine treatment by the American Society for Addiction Medicine

Dr. Barbara Susang-Talamo

Dr. Barbara Susang-Talamo is a native of Southwestern Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia PA. She did her residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh PA. Before Dr. Talamo joined Southwest Women’s Healthcare, she had her own private practice in Westmoreland County. Dr.

Dr. Rod Hojat

Dr. Rod Hojat was born in Pennsylvania and raised in the Appalachian Mountains in southeast Ohio. He is also board certified, and a fellow of the American College of OBGyn. He attended Andover, Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. He received a BS in psychology and pre-medicine from Vanderbilt University. He

Brandy is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner specializing in women's health. She attended UPMC St. Margaret School of Nursing where she earned an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing. Stephanie, a native of Monongahela and a graduate of Ringgold High School, received a Diploma in Nursing from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Stephanie worked as a labor and delivery nurse while earning

Tonja Bryner, MA & Biller

Born and raised and resides in Lemont Furnace, PA. Graduated from Laurel Highlands High School, Uniontown, PA – CMA degree at West Virginia Career College.

Jane G. Chmiel

Part of the Southwest Women’s Healthcare family since August 2001, she graduated from the Washington Hospital School of Radiography and the WVU School of Ultrasonography. She has been employed in the fields of x-ray and ultrasound since 1980. In July 2013, she graduated from LaRoche College, having earned a B.A.

Dawn Mccoy, MA

Born in Uniontown, PA, raised in Dawson, PA and resides in Connellsville, PA. Graduated from Frazier High School, Perryopolis, PA. CMA degree at Pennsylvania Institute of Health and Technology.

Ashley Dawn Ghrist, MA

Uniontown Hospital

Uniontown Hospital (in partnership with UPMC). Uniontown Hospital is a 224-bed, 100+ year-old institution with modern facilities supporting the community and their needs. Our Uniontown office is within 100 yards from the hospital, making it convenient for our patients to be seen by the doctor on call when necessary or to get lab and imaging services done as needed. The Uniontown Hospital’s Family Beginnings Birthing Center was recently renovated.
